Medical Malpractice Defense
Maddie Sedgass is an associate attorney at Campbell Huber, PLLC, where she represents healthcare professionals in medical malpractice matters. A proud Baylor Bear, Maddie holds a B.B.A. in Marketing and earned her J.D. from Baylor Law School in 2022. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas later that year.
Before joining the firm, Maddie served as a district attorney at the Denton County District Attorney’s Office. There, she fine-tuned her litigation skills on a wide variety of misdemeanor cases—from DWIs and assaults to thefts—gaining hands-on trial experience and honing her courtroom strategy, advocacy, and poise under pressure.
At Campbell Huber, Maddie handles all aspects of medical malpractice defense, including client counseling, expert engagement, discovery, and deposition preparation. She finds meaning in advocating for physicians and healthcare providers when their care is scrutinized, bringing a calm, confident voice to high-stakes moments.
When she’s not working, Maddie enjoys cooking, traveling on long weekends, and taking her Cavalier puppy, Charlie, to the park. Saturday mornings are reserved for a standing date at her neighborhood taco spot. A little-known fact: fewer than 15 people in the world share Maddie’s last name—if you’ve met a Sedgass, you’ve met her family.
